And when the opportunity arises to face off against Marchion Ro himself, even Lourna Dee may be willing to sacrifice everything to fulfill a quest for revenge.

Star Wars fans won't want to miss Scott's (Star Wars: Tempest Runner) full-cast Star Wars episode. Lourna Dee fills a Han Solo-like role with her morally ambiguous nature, criminal background, combat skills, and clever escapes. However, she begins to tip away from the good, leaving listeners guessing at her true motives as she partners with her Jedi enemies to stop a horrific plague. The story's impact grows exponentially due to the talented cast, as it's entirely told through dialogue and sound effects. While there is occasional scene-setting through info-dumping dialogue, the majority is sprinkled amidst copious action sequences. As one would expect, the novel is populated with an array of alien species. A few characters may sound unpleasant to listeners--for instance, one who speaks in moist, sucking breaths--but these are also the characters easiest to envision. They'll spend the most time with Jessica Almasy's Lourna Dee, crossing their fingers that she'll succeed and maybe learn that putting herself first doesn't lead to real happiness despite how lucrative it could be. VERDICT Full-cast audiobooks are an easy sell to library customers, and the Star Wars connection will only increase this work's popularity.--Matthew Galloway
